No monthly fee, no listing fee, no charge for photos or setup. Sierra Wander only earns when you do.

How it works

Create your account. sierrawander.com/account, tap Create an account. Two minutes.
Add your listing. sierrawander.com/submit-listing. Photos (6 to 10 real ones, landscape, JPG under 2 MB each; photos straight off a phone are 5 to 10 MB and upload slowly, so share them at Medium size or resize first), your price, the days and times you run, group size, what is included, where you meet, your cancellation rule. About ten minutes, and every field has an example inside it.
It goes live. Usually the same day, after a quick check that photos and details are complete. You get an email when it is up.
Bookings arrive. Guests pick a date and pay on the spot with Apple Pay, Google Pay or card. You get an email with their name, contact, party size and notes, and it shows in your host area.
You get paid automatically. See below.

Getting paid

Sierra Wander runs on Stripe, the payment company behind Shopify, Lyft and Instacart. You get your own free Stripe account, connected to Sierra Wander. When a guest pays, Stripe splits the payment at the moment of purchase: 90% into your Stripe balance, 10% to Sierra Wander. Stripe pays your balance out to your bank on a rolling schedule, usually 2 business days after each booking (the first payout takes about 7 days while Stripe verifies you). Every booking, balance and payout is visible in your own Stripe dashboard.

Connecting Stripe (about five minutes, once)

Sign in and open your Dashboard.
Tap Set up payouts on Stripe. Stripe opens in a secure window; Sierra Wander never sees your bank or ID details.
Have ready: whether you are paid as an individual or a business (EIN if a business), your legal name, date of birth, address and phone, the last four of your Social Security number, and your bank routing and account numbers or a debit card.
Stripe sends you back. Your host area shows Stripe connected, and every booking from then on pays out by itself.

Until you connect Stripe your bookings still work; your share is paid to you by hand after each date. Connecting is what makes it automatic.

Your host area

Listings. Edit your text, photos, price, add-ons, schedule and group size any time. Edits go live right away.
Calendar. Block any date you can’t run. Set a special price for a date.
Bookings. Who is coming and when. Message guests, change or cancel a booking.
Messages. Guest questions before and after they book, copied to your email.
Settings. Your logo or portrait, bio, Instagram, website, and your links. The payout button lives on your Dashboard.

If you also take bookings somewhere else

Sierra Wander only counts seats sold on Sierra Wander. If you sell the same dates on your own site or another app, set your listing’s “Max places” to the seats Sierra Wander may sell and keep the rest where they are, or run everything through Sierra Wander and set it to your full capacity. Block whole days you can’t run in your Calendar.

Reviews

Guests can rate and review after their date, and you can reply. Reviews are checked before they show, so spam never lands on your page.

The deal in plain words

Sierra Wander keeps 10% of the ticket price on bookings made through the site, and the first 10 hosts to join keep that at 5% for good. Card fees are ours, not yours.
Guests pay an 8% service fee on top of your price, shown at checkout. It is charged to the guest and never comes out of your share.
You set the price, schedule, capacity and cancellation policy and can change them at any time. You honor bookings at the terms shown when the guest paid.
Your name, logo and photos stay yours; Sierra Wander may use them to promote your listing.
Either side can stop with 30 days’ notice. Paid bookings are honored or refunded.
