Mushroom Foray
Basket or paper bag, small knife, water, closed-toe shoes, layers
Guided foray, identification, a look through the basket together at the end
A slow walk through the woods with someone who knows what is growing under the leaf litter. We cover the edible, the medicinal, the ones that will ruin your week, and how to tell them apart with your hands and nose, not an app.
What we find depends on the season and the rain. Fall and spring are the best months. Every walk ends with a look at the basket together so you leave able to recognize a few species on your own.
No picking on protected land. We stick to what is legal and leave the rest for the forest.
